Got a called on Monday morning from Michele dat they r willing to wait 1 mth for me. Tanpa berlengah, I pon typed my resignation letter.However can give my boss after 2pm cos he's on 1/2day morning leave. Told all my delivery colleagues about my intention to quit. They were shocked cos 1st thing, I just came back from long maternity leave and 2ndly I juz got promoted to AE in the beginning of the month. So I told them life has to move on.
So after lunch, my boss came back. I went into his office passed him my resignation letter. He asked why, so I told him I got a job at TTSH as Patient Service Associates that is under customer service line. He's abit shocked cos that's way out of wat I do here @ MPH. So i told him it's a new experince for me but I dnt mind learning new things futuremore there will be on-the-job training. There are pros and cons comparing these 2 places but I told him I hv discussed these matters carefully with my hb and that makes me to come to the decision to quit. He was fine with it and advise me to put watever I learnt @ MPH to good use. By these time, I started to cry. Sedih apa cos I've worked under him for 8 yrs from the day I'm still anak dara, to the day I got married and now a mother of 2 kids. When I thanked him for guiding me thru these 8 yrs, there r tears on his eyes.
Not long after, my HR manager; Bert Lek (Kaki Burung) called me into his office. U know what? I kena tindas rabak2 kat dlm bilik tu. He said of all jobs, why I choose to work for hospital, for sick pple? I told him I just wanna to learn new things in a new environment for my own benefits. At least I got to meet pple even though it's sick pple.Den he asked abt my pay they offered so I told him it's about the same as my old pay b4 I got promoted. He asked me why i wanted to downgrade my pay? I told him I dnt mind with the pay they offered me as thats wat the market salary every company is offering rite now and furthermore there will be increment every year base on your performance.If you perform well, better increment. If you didnt perform well, u get lesser or nothing lah. So I asked him back," how long have you worked here Mr Lek? Is there any increment for the past 3yrs? The last time we got is only $30 rite and that was 3 years back rite?" Member terus tukar subject about my annual leave pulak. Ok at MPH, true it's flexible to take leave especially urgent leave if my kids were to fall sick but ini semua kan bukan kehendak kita nak anak2 kita jatuh sakit apa?! Lagipon kerana terlalu flexible kat sini, ada yg take advantage sampai ada yg amek terlalu bnyk urgent leave and unpaid leave. Lucky thing, I got a maid at home now to see things if my kids were to fall sick. Dulu yelah I slalu amek urgent leave cos that time Khairi was in childcare and if he was to fall sick,nobody is at home to care for him cos my hb pon tak bole amek urgent leave. At least with Ernis (my maid) at home, at least ringankan "beban" my hb & I to take more annual leave if my 2 boys were to fall sick. After those conversation, Mr Lek told me to really consider the pros and cons and reconsider my resignation.He tried to psycho me but I dnt believe him 100% but he did confuse me with my decision.
Emailed my previous colleagues and they said that I'm not the only one kena psycho by Bert Lek.They advise me to go ahead with my decision as its an opportunity for me to gain experince.Prove them wrong that I can survived the "outside world".After that I called my hb, telling him what Bert said to me. Hb said he's trying to detained me from leaving as he will have a difficult time finding a replacement in a short time. 1 month notice bukannya lamer, pejam pelik pejam pelik, dah 1 bulan. Hb also said thats very unprofessional of Bert to say those nasty things to me regarding my new job.So I go ahead with my decision and yesterday I went to TTSH to sign the appointment letter and will be joining them on the 20th Oct. I also did the medical screen and take my uniforms. Smalam I tried the new and the old version of uniforms. The new uniforms will take effect in Nov which is much nicer than the current one so for now I hv to wear the old version of uniforms. Really cant wait to buka lambaran baru in my life. InsyaAllah..hopefully everything goes well for me
