Tomorrow Khairi suppose to go to zoo as school excursion but because there are miscommunications between the form teacher and the principal, Khairi wasnt allowed to tag along. On 1st June 2006, I sent Khairi to school as usual. I even stayed till 9 am to meet his form teacher, Mdm Jamilah, to ask her about the zoo trip. I told her that both my hubby and I couldnt take leave for the zoo trip as the school encouraged parents for the Playgroup to tag along as they are still small.Furthermore Mdm Jamilah says she wont be goin as she doesnt have an assistant to take care of the kids who's not goin if she goes. Then I told her if that the case, then I wont allow Khairi to go since I'm much more comfortable with Khairi goin when his form teacher is around. Then she told me to wait a few days 1st to see how many kids from Playgroup goin cos the rest of the kids' parents have not returned the consent form. The closing date for the excursion is 6th June 2006. Then on the 8th I ask her how many kids are goin and she say 3. She then told me that she's still holding my money and also the other 2 kids' money as she is still short of manpower.Thats fine with me and I told her that on Friday 9th June, Khairi wont be coming to school as his dad is not working.Unfortunately on Monday 12th June, Khairi was down with diarhoea and vomitting and wasnt able to go to school for the 1 whole week of last week. So on that particular Monday I called the centre asking for Mdm Jamilah but the principal, Ms Faridah pick up the call. So I leave a message to Mdm Faridah for Mdm Jamilah that Khairi wont be coming to school the whole week and to ask Mdm Jamilah to call me on my mobile cos I need to ask her abt the zoo trip. But she NEVA called back. So I decided to call her again on Thursday but a teacher pick up the call saying that Mdm Jamilah is on leave up till 22nd June. So I thought that she must already submitted the $15 for the trip. Then this morning, as I've this uneasy feeling I ask 1 of the teacher, Mdm Latifah whether Mdm Jamilah had submitted Khairi's consent form and the money to the principal or not.Then she told me that she will check with Mdm Faridah about this matter. So just now at 2.30pm, my ex-colleague who happens to be a teacher there, Mdm Rokiah, called my office saying that Mdm Jamilah NEVA submitted Khairi's consent form and money to Mdm Faridah and Khairi wasnt allowed to tag along as the application already closed. When I heard that teros my darah menyirap seh. Apa ni? By right when Mdm Jamilah heard no news from me, she should call me before she went on a long holiday. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE OF HER. At least I got call her but the message was NEVA pass to her. Poor Khairi tak dapat pegi his 1st excursion with his friends. When I called my hubby telling him that Khairi wont be goin to the zoo and wat happen, he also angry seh.So 2morrow I'll be sending Khairi to school as usual and pick him up as usual. Masih terasa marah lagi didalam diri ini cos sedih Khairi cant join his frens to the zoo trip. Hubby even comforted me by saying "takpelah, nanti kita bawak Khairi gi zoo". But to me its totally different goin with parents and goin with frens.Fathers, unlike mothers, will neva understand when comes to his children's well beings.
